License suspension under ALBERTA ZERO ALCOHOL TOLERANCE (AZAT) PROGRAM

Under the Traffic Safety Act, a person licensed under the Graduated Driver Licence Program who is charged with having any alcohol in their system will be issued a “Notice of Suspension Novice Driver – Zero Alcohol Tolerance Program”. Please read the AZAT (pdf) fact sheet for some important information about the program. A Graduated Driver holds either a probationary Class 5 or a Learner Class 7 licence issued on or after May 20, 2003.
